by design
Having been involved in museums and cultural institutions for over 30 years, my experience is as widely varied as designing new museums to being a museum trustee.
This has given me a broad and sensitive understanding of what makes this project type so special. All of the projects I have been responsible for in some way bridge the gap between strong, profitable, well-designed retail and supporting the institution’s mission and story.
Inclusive
My goal with any project is to increase the revenue stream of your retail component, period. I do this by designing a memorable and positive experience for the visitors that seamlessly becomes an extension to the museum while ensuring an efficient design for staff operation. This means being inclusive of all museum voices and building trust with the entire team and institution stakeholders.
Experience
My diverse experience and cumulative understanding of the complexities and operational workings and varied interests of the stakeholders of Museums and Cultural Institutions is fundamental in the way I approach each project I do and perceptible in each project’s outcome
